The NBA draft is the occasion during which teams focus their attention on the future and hope that the player or players they select will help them reach the next level.
But beyond basketball, it’s also heartwarming and inspiring to see the men who participate in the draft fulfill their lifelong dreams of playing in the NBA.
Furthermore, these men, many of whom come from humble beginnings, become instant millionaires, and many of them are very family-oriented, which is why they bless their loved ones with cars, homes, and overall financial security.
For the massively publicized French phenom, Victor Wambanyama, it was a day he had waited a long time for, and he was overjoyed when the San Antonio Spurs officially selected him No. 1 on Thursday.

The center has been described by many as a generational talent and the biggest draft prospect since LeBron James in 2003.
In fact, some believe Vembanyama to be the greatest draft prospect ever.
He has a guard-like skill set that is phenomenal for a man of his stature, which works in tandem with his immense rim-protection skills and his solid ability on the boards.
If and when he becomes a good 3-point shooter and develops a legitimate back-to-the-basket game, the rest of the league could be in big trouble.
Wembanyama has already been lucky enough to be drafted by the Spurs, as he will be coached by the great Greg Popovich, the man who guided Hall-of-Fame big man Tim Duncan to five NBA championships.
