Trina denies pregnancy rumors after BET Awards performance

rapper Trina Is No Along with the baby—and she’s ready to keep the viral conversation going for fans (and critics).

Pregnancy rumors spread online after self-proclaimed baddest b***h and trick dad took the BET Awards stage on Sunday (June 25). Trina wore a bright red bodysuit with a V-cut neckline for the performance. She teamed the outfit with leather boots and red gloves.

Trina’s stomach area appeared to be slightly bloated, causing fans to go into a frenzy.

On Sunday, the artist also shared footage from a live performance. Dressed in a mini, bodycon silver dress, Trina sang her raucous lyrics in front of a cheering crowd. Given the similarity in her body shape between the two performances, the clip sparked even more debate.

But Trina emphasizes this through a statement tmzThat no bun is cooking in his oven.

“She is not pregnant, despite fan speculation following her performance at the BET Awards. Like any other woman, she has ups and downs in her weight. She’s asking fans to move on,” Trina’s rep reportedly said.

This is the second time in recent years that the “Here We Go” artist has shut down pregnancy rumors. Ironically, last time around—in 2021—the BET Awards also focused on attendance. Later that year, rumors resurfaced after a performance on the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage cruise. Each time, the rapper dismissed the claims.

Trina has previously opened up about suffering three miscarriages

Earlier this year, Miami rapper Yung joined the Miami Caresha please. One topic they discussed was the 44-year-old’s lack of children yet. She revealed that suffering multiple miscarriages and losing her mother affected her desire for motherhood.

“Well, after three miscarriages, I would have had three children. That meant a lot to me. The first was – I don’t think I really understood much of it. I was young, I was young. Then once I got older, then there was the next person, I said, ‘Well, what does that mean? What is meant by abortion? Like I really don’t understand it. Then, it became a third miscarriage case. OK,'” she said on the show.

Additionally, Trina revealed that after losing her mother to cancer in 2019, she questioned how she would parent without her.

“Then, when my mom got sick, to be honest, I just went through this phase of ‘I don’t even want a baby and my mom’s not here.’ Like how do I raise a child without my mother? To be honest, it’s not the happiest thing for me.”

Trina told Yung Miami that she would give herself two years to “have the baby”. And despite that interview taking place this year and within Trina’s deadline, the rapper says it’s not happening right now.
