Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott have split after 18 years together

Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott have split after nearly two decades of marriage.

He made the announcement on Instagram on Saturday with a statement that read: “It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart That after 18 years of being together and 5 amazing kids, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways and start a new journey of our own,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself with her family.

“We will continue to work together as loving parents to guide and love our children through this difficult time,” Dean said.

“We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness.”

The long-standing couple tied the knot on 7th May 2006 and exchanged their vows in 2010.

They are parents to five children together – daughters Stella, 14, Hattie, 11, and sons Liam, 16, Finn Davy, ten and Beau Dean, six.

Dean’s announcement came just hours after Tori posted photos of Stella and the entire family — including Dean — celebrating her birthday at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

They looked like a regular family unit as they posed poolside and smiled for the cameras.

Tori and Dean have been together for almost two decades

Torrie and Dean welcomed their fifth and final child in 2017, when the Beverly Hills 90210 alum admitted that the pregnancy took her “by surprise,” though she added: “But we’ve always wanted a big family. I really I’m excited.”

He had a rollercoaster marriage with Dean, confessing to cheating on his wife in 2014. At the time, she said during an episode of her reality TV show, True Tori: “I feel ashamed. I’ve never felt ashamed before.”

Tori and Dean try to work on their relationship but it hasn’t been easy. “We’re not even here yet, but we’re bonded and going strong as a couple,” she told People in 2016. “Everything came crashing down,” she said. “We had to start over again. We had to rebuild completely.”
