By the end of the season, Mahomes and the Chiefs had not defeated Burrows and the Bengals.
Despite the Chiefs having an impressive record against the rest of the conference, a win over Burrows eluded them.
Thankfully for Mahomes and the Chiefs fans, they were able to pull off the AFC Championship win that got them into the Super Bowl.
The rest is history, as the Chiefs were able to finish their job in the title game, bringing another Lombardi Trophy to Kansas City.
How will things unfold between the two teams this season?
Burrows and the Bengals continue to improve their roster to help them compete among the best in the AFC.
Following their Super Bowl victory, the Chiefs have added to their roster as well, ensuring they can maintain their spot at the top.
While the season hasn’t started for several months, fans can already mark this matchup on their calendars.
