Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have reportedly called it quits. Entertainment Tonight reported the news on April 8, revealing that a source told the outlet that Swift and Alwyn split “a few weeks ago”. People later confirmed the breakup.
An Entertainment Tonight source said that the breakup “wasn’t dramatic” and that “the relationship had just run its course,” adding that “why” their split [Alwyn] Not seen at any shows on Swift’s Eras Tour. A rep for Alvin did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment. POPSUGAR was unable to reach Swift’s rep.
Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour kicked off on March 17 and will run through August 9, though the star has promised more international stops to come. Star releases her 10th album, “Midnights”, in October 2022.
Swift and Alwyn began dating in 2016 after reportedly meeting at the Met Gala that year. The pair kept their relationship fairly quiet for years, although they occasionally commented on their romance. Alwyn also helped Swift write some of her songs on her albums “Folklore,” “Evermore,” and “Midnights” under the pseudonym William Bowery.
