This backfired and forced him to run away to Cuba with Franklin’s mother, Sissy (Michael Hyatt), to get away from the CIA and Teddy, though the latter promised not to follow them. However, Teddy quickly goes back on his word and follows them to the season four finale, where it is presumed that he shoots and kills Alton (a shock that eventually comes back to bite him).

Episode nine of season six ends with Franklin holding Teddy captive in a desolate place after the latter tried to hang him in the previous episode. For most of season six, the two have been busy trying to outsmart each other. They are like tit for tat because they have killed each other’s father and robbed each other. But fed up, Franklin is determined to get his money back from Teddy, so he puts the latter through a torture session that includes a game of Russian roulette and a pot of steaming hot oil. In the midst of this, Sissy also tries to reason with Teddy about not only stealing from Franklin but destroying an entire community along with his drug operation. But their conversation takes a turn when Teddy pleads for his life and finally offers to tell Sissy what really happened to Alton.
Alton’s presumed death has been a mystery for the past two seasons as it is never explicitly stated what happened after viewers saw Teddy sneaking into Cuba with a gun. However, Teddy informs Sissy that Alton is not dead, asking if she ever saw his body, blood, or signs of a struggle (the audience never sees any of these things). Teddy then tells Sissy that the day she contacted Alton, he saw her leaving her building, found her alone, drugged her, took her to a waiting car, drove her to an airport, and Took him to Puerto Rico where he put him in jail. room. He, again, promises her that Elton is alive but a skeptical Sissy initially dismisses the claim.

While Teddy talks on the pay phone to make a transfer, Sissy approaches him and demands to know which prison Alton is in. Body. Enraged, Sissy steps back, pulls out a gun and shoots Teddy twice, killing him almost instantly. She kneels on the ground with her hands raised when the police arrive to handcuff her.
What Does Teddy’s Death Mean For The “Snowfall” Series Finale?
Much of season six has focused on Franklin’s desperate plan to find Teddy and get his money back. But now that he’s dead, it looks like Franklin will be left without a fortune or a drug empire to fall back on. This also means that he has no way to protect himself from players who are trying to get their hands on him.
Idris teased his character’s arc ahead of the season six premiere on February 22, telling Deadline that Franklin is “really in survival mode.” “Snowfall” co-creator Dave Andron also touched on the similarities between Franklin and Teddy and how, despite their differences, their journeys for the past six seasons have been intertwined. “I think there are similarities to everything that separates Teddy and Franklin,” he said. “These are two young people who are incredibly ambitious and very easily able to split and say that the ends justify the means. They were connected for a long time, both personally and professionally.”
On how Franklin’s story ends in the series finale “Snowfall”, Andron said, “It’s hard to figure out the ending, right? There’s a tradition in this genre of how to end anti-hero stories and I felt It backfired a bit but stayed true to our show and who Franklin is. I think we found it, a surprising and yet inevitable ending for him.
