The Seattle Seahawks are gearing up for an intriguing 2023 NFL Draft.

The team made the playoffs in 2022, following an unexpected but impressive season from Geno Smith to get them into the postseason.

However, they know they need to look to the future, and adding a quarterback could be a priority.

So he turned his attention to Anthony Richardson of the Florida Gators.

If all goes well, they could go for the talented player, especially after their general manager shared his thoughts on the 20-year-old.

Seahawks GM John Schneider said Richardson was ‘impressive’.

He said, “He’s got a lot of physical talent, no doubt about it. . . . He’s done a great job. He’s had fun. He’s been loose, and he’s had a good time with his teammates.”

The team traded Russell Wilson last season in a move that has worked wonders for them.

Geno Smith proved he can be valuable in the NFL, but the team knows they need more to win a championship again.

Most recently, they welcomed back Bobby Wagner, one of the members of the famous ‘Legion of Boom’.

The Seahawks have a solid squad, and adding the right quarterback could be crucial for them in the future, especially in an incredibly tough NFC West.

Richardson has a lot of work to do to fulfill his potential, but he is being viewed around the league as a very interesting prospect.

He is compared to Cam Newton, which could be great for the Seahawks.

In 2022, he threw for 2,549 yards and 17 touchdowns while intercepting nine times.

There’s still some work to do, but it looks like this kid has a bright future.
