Pete Fairbanks (4th save) got out of trouble in the ninth inning after Jesse Winker singled and pinch runner Bryce Turang scored a run out. A wild pitch later advanced him to third. But Fairbanks ended it by fumbling Tyrone Taylor back to the mound.
Reliever Jason Adams (1-1) pitched an eighth inning and earned the win.
rays Ace Shane McClanahan pitched seven scoreless innings while giving up six hits and one walk. The left-handed batsman was able to get out of a jam courtesy seven strikes
Milwaukee’s Adrian Houser pitched six shutout innings, allowing four hits. The right-hander struck out four and walked one before giving way to Joel Payemps in the seventh.
The few chances each team had were quickly squandered.

Jose Siri and Mejia had back-to-back, one-out singles, but Josh Lowe bounced to first with runners on the corners. After getting a force out at second, Siri was caught in a rundown at third, and tagged out to complete a double play.
owen miller put brewers In a position to get on the board in the eighth inning. After reaching on an infield single, Miller stole second and moved to third on Yelich’s grounder. But Adam kills Adams to end the threat.
