🚨 WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story Forward.🚨
if you have caught queen charlotte, Then you can agree that one of the most moving scenes is when young Brimsley and Reynolds dance together at the final ball, only for it to cut to Brimsley dancing alone.
This begs the question: what happened to Brimsley? What happened to Reynolds? Where’s Reynolds? Is Reynolds… dead? Oh, sweet obscurity!
Well, I sat down with the actors who played Young Brimsley and Reynolds (Sam Clemets and Freddie Dennis, respectively) to share what they think the two lovebirds’ fate holds.
“The Reynolds are on vacation in the Maldives, sipping on a mojito,” Freddie began with a laugh. “That’s what we keep saying, but I guess ultimately we don’t know. But regardless, they are deeply in love with each other. And we want to find out.”
Sam then interrupted, saying, “Yeah, please, if you find out what happens, let us know.”
As it turns out, the original final moments with Reynolds and Brimsley were going to look a bit different. “They didn’t use this shot, but one of the ideas we played with was me, young Reynolds, dancing with Hugh [Sachs]’ Freddy added.
“So after we shot the scene of Sam and myself, I went and danced with Hugh and that, as an actor, was probably the most moving day I’ve had on set. It was fantastic. But then it wasn’t Made. Final cut,” Freddy explained. “I think they left it more open-ended. I think it would have conveyed a lot more.”
