
Philadelphia Phillies Infielder Derrick Hall was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley and inserted into the lineup on Sunday against the visiting Washington Nationals.
Hall is batting at number eight in the rubber match of the three-match series between the National League East rivals.

The 27-year-old Hall made Philadelphia’s Opening Day roster before spraining his right thumb early in the season. He underwent augmentation surgery on 12 April.
Hall batted .222 (4-for-18) with one RBI in six games this season after hitting .250 with nine homers and 16 RBI in 41 games in 2022.
Clemens, 27, is batting .230 with four homers and 13 RBI in 47 games this season. After posting a .268 average in the first two months of the season, Clemens hit .194 (13 of 67) in June.
He is the son of former major-league pitcher Roger Clemens.
