It’s no secret that the 2023 season hasn’t gone according to plan for the St. Louis Cardinals.

The same can be said for MVP finalist and star third baseman Nolan Arenado.

However, the team completed a three-game sweep over the Boston Red Sox and have now won six of their last seven games.

Arenado had quite an impressive weekend at Fenway Park, and it all started with a two-run homer in the first inning off of James Paxton on Friday.

From there Arenado was shut down, and he eventually pitched in all three games at Fenway.

On Twitter, the Cardinals posted some impressive numbers from Arenado from the recent weekend series.

Arenado was certainly off at the plate over the weekend, and could really turn the corner, as can be the case with the Cardinals as a whole.

The veteran slugger went 7-for-14 in three games against the Red Sox.

He hit three home runs and drove in seven runs.

That impressive weekend series also included a two-run single on Sunday night to help St. Louis take a 6–1 lead over the Sox.

The final score on Sunday was 9–1 in favor of the Cardinals.

But it was Arenado who led the way for St. Louis as they climbed back into contention in the NL Central and the NL Wild Card race.

With his impressive series at Fenway, Arenado raised his batting average to .256 on the year and his home run total to six.
