Nick Cannon has an update on his friend Jamie Foxx, admitting that the actor will “address his waiting fans” when the time is right.
“One thing I’ve always respected is how Jamie has progressed throughout his career, if you notice, he’s always been someone who’s been extremely professional and extremely private,” Nick, 42, told Xtra TV. Thursday.
“I am confident that when he is ready, he will address the waiting fans in the world [about his health scare] in a way only he can,” he added, adding that he’s “in the same boat” when it comes to the details of Jamie’s situation.
Nick’s comments came after Mike Tyson alleged that the actor had suffered a stroke. The Oscar-winning actor’s family has only said that he suffered a “medical complication” while shooting for his upcoming Netflix film, back in actionWith Cameron Diaz.
But it appears Jamie has a long way to go in his recovery after being released from hospital as former professional boxer Mike gave an update on his friend’s health.
“hI am not feeling well. He called a stroke. I don’t know what happened to him.” Mike said during an appearance on the latest episode of the Valuation Podcast.
Jamie is now reportedly recovering at a physical rehabilitation facility in Chicago that specializes in treating adults with “severely complex conditions,” including stroke recovery. Ray The star was admitted to a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia last month.
His daughter, Corinne, shared a statement posted on behalf of the family on April 13, revealing that her father had suffered a “medical complication” and was now on his way to recovery.
The family’s statement read: “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. [Tuesday], Fortunately, due to prompt action and utmost care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
In early May, Jamie broke his silence with a message on his Instagram Stories, in which he wrote that he “feels blessed” for all the well wishes.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed” he wrote. He also thanked Nick, who will be stepping in as a temporary host on Beat Shazam as Jamie recovers, adding: “Y’all appreciate my boy @nickcannon. See you all soon.”
