We now know the fate of Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant.
For weeks now, people have been wondering what kind of punishment Morant will face for firing a shotgun again on social media.
Now it’s official.
According to Shams Charania, the NBA is suspending Morant for 25 games at the start of the 2023-24 season because of his recent actions.
It was also reported that the suspension would come “with conditions for his return”. According to Adrian Wojnarowski.

It wasn’t surprising to hear the news on Friday morning, as the finals are over and the weekend is fast approaching.
The league wanted to issue this decision sometime between the conclusion of the championship and before the next week’s draft could truly begin.
Many people expected Morant to miss more than 25 games.
Some even predicted that he would be out for half the season or longer.
But the 25 game punishment is still pretty severe.
Not only does this hurt his team and keep him off the court for weeks, but it also keeps him from receiving an end-of-season award.
Due to the league’s new collective bargaining agreements, players have to appear in a certain number of games to be eligible for those awards.
The big question now is what kind of conditions Morant will have to face to get back in the Grizzlies jersey.
The bigger question is whether he will actually learn from this situation or repeat it.
The Grizzlies will be in a tough spot without their lead star for so many games and it could really jeopardize their chances of making the playoffs.
Hopefully, when Morant’s suspension ends, he will return as a changed player and ready to put this behind him.
