Naomi Osaka is expecting a baby girl! On June 2, the 25-year-old tennis star shared photos from the purple and pink themed baby shower on her Instagram. In one of the pictures, a photo backdrop is shown with the words “A Little Princess is on the Way”. Osaka simply captioned the snaps, “☺️🤍💜.”
Her boyfriend Corday also posted a photo of himself kissing Osaka’s belly on his Instagram Stories, writing, “#GirlDad.”
On January 11, Osaka announced on Instagram that she was pregnant with their first child. “Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023,” she captioned a photo of her sonogram.
Osaka’s announcement comes a week after the athlete decided to pull out of the 2023 Australian Open. “The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I think it’s the most challenging times in life that can be the most fun,” she said. “These few months away from the game have really given me a new love and appreciation for the sport that I have dedicated my life to.
