Earlier oppenheimerThese two Golden Globe winners, if you remember, were in 2011. The Adjustment Bureau – So they didn’t have any problem connecting with each other in a real way.
For LADbible, Emily explained the rules for kissing other actors. Matt then used this opportunity to share an on-screen kiss with another leading lady, which she humorously described as “inferno”.
Emily broke down three simple rules: “When you like intimate scenes, have an etiquette,” she said.
“You need to brush your teeth…”
“Stick some gum on the roof of your mouth, and then we can kiss.”
While Matt agreed, admitting that he could forgive a little funk, he had an unfortunate experience with another co-star, Scarlett Johansson, which he jokingly described as “hell”.
Matt began, “What happened, we did a shot before lunch, and it was a nice little shot that ended in a kiss.”
“And it was really cool. And we went to lunch, and he and I both thought it was over. He ate like onion sandwiches for lunch.”
Unfortunately, director Cameron Crowe wanted a tighter shot of the scene, which meant they had to kiss again. “She says, ‘Oh crap.’ She says, ‘I actually just ate, I like an onion sandwich,” Matt said.
“I was making fun of him the whole time about his oniony breath, which I couldn’t even smell.”
And he ends the story by admitting that it wasn’t that bad after all in fact “her breath smelled like roses!”
God! Imagine being Matt, Emily, or Scarlett’s on-screen kissing partner.
