Monroe and Moroccan Cannon are almost teenagers! On April 30, Mariah Carey shared a sweet post on Instagram in honor of the twins’ 12th birthday. Their father, Nick Cannon, also celebrated the kids’ special day with a Six Flags takeover post on Instagram.
Carey shared a carousel of photos of the twins, starting with a photo in which she, Monroe, and Moroccan are hanging out in the back seat of a car. The next photo shows the trio filming a video in what appears to be the “Always Be My Baby” singer’s closet. Fittingly for the Queen of Christmas, she wrapped up her collection of throwback snaps with a photo from the holidays.
“Happy Birthday to my favorite people on the planet!!!” Carey captioned her post. “I thank God for you every day! ‘Our love is supernatural!!!’ Oh darlings ’cause you’ll always be my baby!!!”
Meanwhile, Kenan posted a video chronicling Moroccan and Monroe (or as the father of 12 calls his oldest) at Six Flags Magic Mountain. In the video, the twins and all their friends arrive in a limo wearing “Rock and Row” sweatshirts. The “Wild ‘n Out” host goes on to prove she’s up for anything from playing games to taking on the most daring rides with her kids. “Happy 12th Birthday to my first born Rock & Ro! 🎉❤️ Daddy love you all always!” he captioned his post.
Earlier this month, Cannon got candid about what it’s like to parent a pair of tweens on an episode of the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast. “It’s my first 12-year-old, and I have a set of those! And we’re having real conversations,” he said. “Because, you know, his life is far from normal. His mom is one of the greatest entertainers of all time, and his dad is me. He’s so intelligent, he’s so in tune with his own values.”
