Then: Looking Back, Do You Have a Favorite Maggie Story? the walking dead, Or favorite season from the show?
Season 2 is pretty clear to me. I have pretty much muscle memory from seasons 2 and 3. The newness and raw emotions of everything. The kind of terror and trauma, and reason for those characters to fight. There were a lot of brutal and now memorable moments from the series during that time. Like, we run off the farm, my dad cuts his leg, I do a C-section on Lori—
Oh god, I forgot Maggie who escorted Judith to prison. I haven’t thought about it in so long.
Yes! In front of Carl! And we bring baby Judith out and give her to Rick, and he’s destroyed. But even last season 3, it was one thing after another for Maggie, and I remember it very clearly. Herschel dying, Beth dying because of being separated from the cannibal Glenn… It was so serious and it was a lot. Then, Maggie and Glenn eventually get married, he dies, and they have a baby.
I think about it all, even the bad things, and I picture those golden moments of the good things. Like, when Herschel finds a cure for the flu and saves Glenn. Or when Glenn takes a picture of Maggie. Perseverance in the midst of darkness and chaos. I can’t believe it’s been a decade of really big things happening.
