Since the release of Latto’s single on April 21, it has been almost impossible to avoid the song’s opening line on social media. And the rapper is constantly promoting it on his pages with hilarious videos of his friends as well as the lyrics of the song. But Latto and TikTok users aren’t the only ones joining in on the fun — Cardi B is chipping in on the viral trend in an exciting way.
On May 31, Latto teased a “Put It on the Floor” remix, formally titled “Put It on the Floor Again,” featuring Cardi B. And of course, the pair announced their collaboration by participating in a TikTok trend. “‘Put It On The Floor,’ Now I’m Ready To ‘Put It On The Floor Again.’ Remix this Friday,” Latto shared in a clip on his social media pages. She then pointed to someone hiding under a black plastic bag and said, “Get out that plastic she was acting brand new,” before a glammed-up Cardi B appeared.

Latto’s viral TikTok moment comes after a successful year for him so far. After dropping his second album, “777” in early 2022, he kicks off 2023 with his single “Lottery” featuring Lu Kala, as well as up-and-coming artists like Mello Bakz (“Boom Pt. 2″) began collaborating with.”), Lola Brooke (“Don’t Play With It” remix), and Tiakorin (“Freakyty” remix).
He is also currently on the second leg of Lizzo’s “The Special 2our” and received two Grammy nominations this year for Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance.
