Excitement has started to build for the upcoming NFL season for the New York Jets.

It appears that they have made their best effort to win the Super Bowl since the last time they did, which was in the 1968 season.

The biggest reason for this is the arrival of future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who already has a world championship ring and seems revitalized by his move to the tri-state area.

But the entire team seems revitalized, and one proof of that is the fact that offensive lineman Mekhi Becton is training hard and has reportedly lost a lot of weight.

Rich Cimini tweeted that Becton is ready to return to football activity after missing all of 2022 with a knee injury and that he is open to returning to the left tackle position.

Becton was going to move to right tackle during training camp last year after George Fant took over the LT spot, but an injury to his right knee kept him from playing in any games.

He was the No. 11 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and previously played in just one contest in 2021 due to a cartilage injury in his knee.

Pass protection will be crucial for New York, as Rodgers is 39 years old and not as mobile as he used to be.

He saw his production decline last season with the Green Bay Packers, and it’s an open question whether he’ll up his numbers this season or whether Father Time has finally caught up to him.
