The Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense will be joined in the receiving room by Trevor Lawrence in 2023 by Calvin Ridley.
Ridley hasn’t seen the field since 2021 after he was suspended for the entirety of 2022 for gambling.
While Jaguars fans wait to see how Ridley performs this season, OC Press Taylor has an update after OTAs begin.
Taylor said, “He’s done a great job, just blending in with the group and building his role.”
Jaguars OC press Taylor “really impressed” with WR Calvin Ridley so far: “We have a lot of confidence in the player we’re getting”https://t.co/ju6iLw4GOk pic.twitter.com/g8Sx2GyJzO

Taylor also said, “We’re very confident in the player we’re getting.”
For a few seasons, Ridley was considered one of the best receivers in the NFL.
He had a breakout year in 2020, with 1,374 total receiving yards, 90 receptions, and nine touchdowns.
Ridley played in just five games during the 2021 season before leaving the game due to injuries and mental health concerns.
Despite not having played in the NFL for over a year, the Jaguars are confident that Ridley will be a great addition to their wide receiver.
Ridley should sit alongside Christian Kirk and Zay Jones, giving Lawrence a better chance to succeed in his third season.
The Jaguars won their division the previous season and even won a playoff game in Lawrence’s first postseason appearance.
If Ridley is even a shell of himself from his 2020 campaign, the Jaguars should be in great shape.
The AFC South is likely to have three new starting quarterbacks after Will Lewis takes over for the Tennessee Titans.
This is great news for Ridley and Jaguar.
Even if they suffer early pains, the youth of their division could take an easy route to the playoffs.
