Falco became a mother for the first time when she adopted her son, Anderson, in 2005, according to Us Weekly. The star opened up about her adoption journey while appearing on “The Andersons” in April 2012. “At that time, I was single and the idea of adoption came to me.”
Ever since her children were young, Falco has always been transparent about her adoption. “Early on, the word adoption has been a part of my household,” she said. “I don’t know if they know that not all of their friends are adopted. Maybe they think everyone comes in a family.”
In the same interview, Falco recalled a time when her son asked the question of where babies come from. “My son says, ‘Then the woman has a baby, and then I [say]’And when the baby comes out, she gives the baby to the mother,'” he said. “The fact that some women keep the babies for themselves, we’ll get to that.”
Falco spoke about her son again on “Live with Kelly & Ryan” in April 2018, revealing that Anderson was 13 years old and was in a state where he was estranged from his mother. “He’s just like ‘Hi, mom,’ and then he goes to his room. That’s our conversation,” she said before joking, “It means I’m doing something right, obviously he hates me now.”
In February 2020, she appeared on the show again and revealed that Anderson had had a growth spurt. “Anderson is taller than me. It’s really tough,” she said. “I walk down the street and see a little white boy and I burst into tears. Those little, little kids are just gone.”
