Former NBA players don’t see LeBron and Kyrie reuniting in Dallas

The chances of Kyrie Irving getting his wish and LeBron James joining the Dallas Mavericks are slim.

But that hasn’t stopped people from wondering what would happen if these two giants of the game played together again.

Matt Barnes is one of the many people who doesn’t see this becoming a reality but he really thinks it will help Irving’s game.

“I don’t see it happening. I think LeBron has bets with several houses in California… I don’t see him uprooting the family for a year,” Barnes said on FanDuel TV.

“I think this is wishful thinking by Kyrie,” Barnes said.

Barnes said that James may be one of the only stars who can help Irving focus better on basketball.

He believes that if these two play together, it will fix Irving’s “legacy”.

But he still knows that James will not come to the Mavericks.

The only way the Lakers can consider such a monster trade is if they get Luka Doncic in return.

Of course, everyone knows that’s not going to happen.

Some have speculated that news of this potential arrangement was leaked by the Mavericks as a way of convincing Irving that they were doing their due diligence and trying to get it done.

Others think it was Irving’s camp that leaked it to stir things up.

Either way, James is definitely going to be in Los Angeles with his team and his family.

For Irving, it is still unclear what his next move will be.

Will he stay in Dallas or try to work his way to the West Coast to play with James in Los Angeles?
