The Carolina Panthers selected Bryce Young with the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, a move that was widely expected.
Despite the initial enthusiasm of many within the fanbase, there was one Panthers player who was less than enthusiastic.
Matt Corral is a backup quarterback for the Panthers, and will remain in that role until Young is injured.
After the draft, Corll posted a quote that read “Don’t live in a place where no one sees your value.”

Corral has received a lot of negative feedback from fans of the league from the post.
Many fans expressed their frustration with Corll, as he appears unwilling to compete with Young.
Really disappointed to see this. Understand his disappointment, but was hoping he would get out there and compete and move on. He had the opportunity to absorb coaching knowledge and enhance his game.

Competing with Young could be a learning experience, as this fan decides.
Corll was drafted in 2022, a third-round selection by the Panthers.
His future with the team remains to be seen.
As many fans highlight, he isn’t doing himself any favors with these social media comments.

When the Panthers drafted Young with the No. 1 pick, he decided the future of the organization.
However, that move did not mean that Corll’s chances with the team were over.
For example, in 2021, the San Francisco 49ers used the No. 3 pick on Trey Lance.
They drafted Brock Purdy in the seventh round of the 2022 draft, getting playing time after two injuries.
Prior to this tweet, Coral could have been given a similar opportunity.
Will the Panthers keep him, given the initial reaction of the team that drafted Young?
