The NBA is working hard to put together an in-season tournament starting with the 2023-24 season.

This will mark a major change in the way the tournament is currently conducted.

It will take place in December and will use a pool-play format to determine the final eight teams that will then compete in a single-elimination tournament.

Teams will also be battling for bragging rights, winning records and cash prizes.

The proposed tournament is aimed at boosting the excitement for the regular season.

As it is now, many people only pay attention to the league at the end of the year and the NBA is looking to change that.

Commissioner Adam Silver spoke about the tournament, saying that he wanted to “take a page from European football and create new games of consequence.”

He said the games would look different, with different courts and different uniforms.

Many fans in the league aren’t entirely convinced by the idea of an in-season tournament, and they voiced their opinion following Silver’s latest comments.

Immediately, a joke was made at Silver’s expense.

Others suggested prizes that could be introduced to make the tournament worth the players, similar to soccer leagues in other countries.

Many people pointed out that European soccer players do not participate in 82 games in a season and trying to imitate that game is not the best idea.

And then there were some who gave Silver the thumbs up on the idea, even though they don’t fully understand it.

Looks like the tournament is going ahead at full speed.

Fans should prepare for this to become a regular part of the year.

And they shouldn’t be counting on it now.

As a reminder, some thought the play-in tournament was going to be a disaster.

Now it is one of the most popular and celebrated parts of the season.
