Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers is in the midst of a huge career transition.
If his wish comes true, he will soon be playing for the Miami Heat.
With so much going on around Lillard, you’d think he wouldn’t have time for anything else.
But Saturday is Lillard’s 33rd birthday, according to the official NBA Twitter account.
One has to wonder if he’ll be celebrating in Portland or Miami.

But many others reminded the NBA and fans that Lillard would not be a Blazer for much longer.
He said that he should not be referred to as a Portland player and should instead be called a Heat star.

For several weeks now, Lillard has been trying to switch from the Blazers to the Heat.
So will he finally get his wish on his birthday?
Some said they knew exactly what he wanted as a gift: a move to Miami.
Everyone knows what gift they want

And exasperated Portland fans were hoping that maybe Lillard would give their city their final gift and change their minds about departing.
happy birthday. Be a blazer. Please.

The latest reports said that Lillard still intends to leave the Blazers for the Heat.
But those same reports claim that Portland is in no rush to make a deal and has not actively engaged with Miami regarding Lillard.
This means he may still be in Miami when the new season starts, but he probably won’t get the birthday present he really wants on Saturday.
