First airing in 2004 and concluding its eight-season run in 2012, one of the more controversial storylines was Gabby’s relationship with her teenage gardener, John (played by Jesse Metcalf).

“They cast him again because they’re like, ‘He actually looks 16!’ and then they cast jessie and [he] Was 25 when he did the show. He was 25 playing 16, and I was 27 playing 40,” Eva, now 48, said. “So Jesse and I were actually the same age so we didn’t feel awkward, but it definitely felt like better chemistry.” The science was and the better story was that it was Jesse.”
Now for her thoughts, she continued, “It was so iconic! I remember Jesse and I going everywhere together and people still come up to me and ask me, ‘Tell me about Mali. ‘ I’m like, ‘Jesse’s awesome.’
However, Eva initially thought the show would never air. “I remember reading the script and going, ‘Okay, this will never work,’ because it was so different. It wasn’t comedy and it wasn’t drama. Nobody knew what we were into,” she said.

I think we will get cancelled.” “I mean, not canceled on TV, but canceled in the culture because it was awesome and we said and did a lot of shocking things at the time. I don’t know what these women are doing in their lives now.” Where will you be?”
Eva further stated that she actually asked producer Marc Cherry several times for a reboot, which he declined because he felt he had “explored these characters more fully” the first time around. Eva, on her part, is excited about the idea. “I’ll be the first one to sign up.”
