LeBron James’ move to the Miami Heat was controversial for everything NBA.

King left the Cleveland Cavaliers after seven years with the team, a decision heavily criticized by many fans.

Even though so many criticized the move, it worked for James, and the player remained fully committed to the team.

In recent comments shared by the boardroom, Erik Spoelstra discussed how focused James was during his time with the Heat, praising him for never acting unprofessional.

“LeBron was dialed in on everything. Always one of the first in the building. Never late for anything like meetings, airplanes. I think it was almost an OCD that he had to deal with his mental preparation.” Had to leave early. His locker was old… Sometimes players would have an entire season in front of their locker. We don’t let players do that…”

James has always conducted himself that way, trying to lead by example and set the tone for his teammates.

As such he has become a highly respected player around the league, even though many players seek to defeat him every time they face off.

The Heat took advantage of James’ right attitude, taking his culture to a whole new level of always thinking about winning and nothing else.

Miami went on to four consecutive NBA Finals appearances with LeBron on the roster, winning two titles in the process.

Things have changed for the Heat now, with Jimmy Butler moving on, but LeBron’s influence on the team remains.

King changed everything for this team on and off the court, and Spoelstra still remembers how seriously the four-time NBA champion took everything.

They may not have built a dynasty in South Beach, but James left behind many fond memories there.

The Heat have tried to recapture old glory, but without James on the roster, they have yet to win a title.
