These days, Elizabeth Olsen is best known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since 2014, she has played the role of Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch.
In total, she appeared (or voiced Wanda) in six MCU films and their critically acclaimed 2021 miniseries wandavision,
While Elizabeth moves on to her first big non-MCU project this year with the Max miniseries love deathThere was a time before Marvel too – a time when she was best known as an indie film actor.
It’s definitely a big change, going from an indie actor to a big-budget superhero. It could also be considered controversial, as Florence Pugh recently revealed about her decision to enter the MCU.
But it doesn’t seem like Elizabeth has any regrets about joining the MCU. In fact, she opened up in a recent interview about what she tells other actors who are considering joining the Juggernaut film franchise.
Elizabeth’s answer was so honest and direct.
“Just give them one,” she said.
“That way, you have more control — let’s say you say, ‘Oh my god, this was the most fun I’ve ever had, and I love this character so much, I want to do it again.’ Now you have more creative control for the next one.”
Honestly, this is brilliant advice, not just for actors but for life in general. Not sure you should go on that blind date? Just give them one (try). Not sure if you should contact an old friend after all these years? Just give them a (friendly text).
Not sure if you should read another BuzzFeed article? just give We One (more clicks). Like here, watching Elizabeth play with the puppies.
