Every year NFL fans around the world wait until the new version of EA Sports’ Madden NFL video game is launched.

Obviously, the cover athlete is always a huge point of discussion among fans and even the media.

That’s why EA Sports has let it know they’ll announce the next cover athlete on Wednesday, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov.

There is buzz about the league that Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen will be the cover athlete for the next edition.

There’s no doubt he’ll be a suitable athlete, as quarterbacks have been the main stars in the game for the past six years, with the only exception coming in 2023, when the franchise decided to honor the late NFL great John Madden.

Allen has risen to prominence and has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the game.

He has turned the Bills into perennial Super Bowl contenders, though they have yet to find a spot in the big game with him under center.

Of course, some fans will refer to the now-infamous Madden Curse, which states that the athlete from the cover will be cursed for poor play or major injuries.

However, Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes may have broken that curse, as he went on to win the Super Bowl in 2020 when he was featured on the cover, and he’s made it once again.

Whatever the case, and regardless of who is featured on the cover, the game is likely to be another huge success among football fans.
