Harrison Ford says he believes in an upcoming Indiana Jones movie dial of fate This would be the last time the famous archaeologist would appear in a film.
In an interview with Total Film, the 80-year-old star confirmed Disney’s previous announcement that this would be the indie’s last big screen outing.
Ford said:
“This is the final film in the series, and it’s the last time I’ll play this character. I hope it’s the last time he appears in a film.”
“I was ambitious for 10 years to do this film, and finally a time came when we all committed to it.
“It was a happy moment for me. I think it’s a rare situation I find myself in.
“I’ve been able to deliver amazing movies developed by Steven [Spielberg] and george [Lucas] It has been my greatest ambition for this tour to span 40 years, and to end it with a bang, not a whimper.
In November it was thought that Disney Plus was planning to develop a TV series around the character, but Ford said he would not be involved, “if it works.”
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny It will be released in cinemas on June 30, with its world premiere a month earlier at the Cannes Film Festival. The franchise started in 1981 Raiders of the Lost Arkand has grossed over $1 billion at the box office in the intervening years.
