Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s casual date night turned into an unexpected engagement ceremony on April 15. While attending a Hawks-Celtics game in Boston, Mintz-Plasse was caught on camera kissing with his new fiancée, photographer Britt Bowman.
During the game, the kiss camera panned on Mintz-Plasse, receiving cheers from the fans. Quietly telling the cameraman to wait, she caught the crowd by surprise when she took Bowman’s hand, gently pulling him into frame to show her her enormous diamond engagement ring. Smiling, Bowman moved her fingers and bent down to give her fiancee a sweet kiss. Mintz-Plasse then blew a kiss at the audience and pumped a celebratory fist in the air. Before the camera pans away, he seemingly says “I love her,” making the moment even sweeter.
“Boston you’re always having a LIT ASS TIME,” Mintz-Plasse captioned the footage of the kiss cam moment on her Instagram account. “I love seeing you soon. Celtics in four. Thanks @kenziemac.” In the comments section, fans were quick to congratulate the couple, who first announced their engagement in December. “Kuuuuuuute!!!” Alison Brie wrote. Another Instagram user said, “McLovin is McMarried,” referencing Mintz-Plasse’s character in the cult-classic-film “Superbad.” While they haven’t married yet, we’ll definitely be on the lookout for updates about the couple’s wedding day.
Mintz-Plasse and Bowman first started dating in June 2017. The pair got engaged on Christmas Eve 2022 in Nebraska, announcing the news in an Instagram post on December 29, 2022. “Life Over!!!” Mintz-Plasse jokingly captioned the photos of herself and Bowman toasting their upcoming wedding with champagne. Sharing more photos on her own Instagram account, Bowman wrote, “@mintzplasse did a thing 💍12.24.22.”
Later in the photo gallery, Mintz-Plasse also shared photos of her getting down on one knee for a practice proposal to Matthew Koma, who is married to Hilary Duff. “Congrats!!!!!” Mandy Moore commented. Nicholas Braun said, “I stan this relationship.”
