Drake today garnered seven nominations for the music-heavy 2023 BET Awards, and Glorilla was second with six. Both are also up for Album of the Year. Lizzo and 21 Savage lead with five nominations.
vying for best picture Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Creed 3, Emancipation, Nope, The Woman King, Til And whitney houston: i wanna dance with somebody, The nominees for Best Actress are Angela Bassett, Coco Jones, Janelle James, Janelle Monae, Keke Palmer, Viola Davis and Zendaya. The Best Actor race will include Amin Joseph, Brian Tyree Henry, Damson Idris, Daniel Kaluuya, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flannery Jr., Donald Glover and Michael B. Jordan.
Celebrating creative expression and Black excellence in music, TV, film and sports, the 23rd BET Awards will be presented on Sunday, June 25. Last year’s winners included Will Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion and Jazmine Sullivan.
