Training camps are starting for all 32 teams in the NFL, with the 2023 campaign getting closer and closer to starting in September.

One team that will be interesting to watch during the 2023 NFL season is the Chicago Bears, who are trying to figure out what they have in star quarterback Justin Fields.

Last season, Fields exploded in the second half of the season as he began to prove his doubters wrong with some incredible performances that showed he could be a future superstar.

Unfortunately, Fields’ improved play did not lead to wins, as the team finished with only three on the season and the No. 1 pick overall, but due to Fields having a breakout year, Chicago sold that pick to the Carolina Panthers.

Fields is poised for success offensively, with the team bringing in DJ Moore to pair with Chase Claypool in the passing game, but Claypool has been placed on the PUP list, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

The Bears had acquired Claypool the previous season in a surprise trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers, which was thought to be a move that would give Fields an opportunity in the receiving squad.

Claypool’s short time in Chicago last season wasn’t a good one as he struggled to make a mark, but the team has high hopes for a comeback this year, even if starting on the PUP list doesn’t bode well for either the player or the team.

Once Claypool is healthy and ready to go, it will be interesting to see if he will be able to make an impact in Chicago.
