Avril Lavigne made headlines earlier this year when she and rapper Tyga were spotted kissing in Paris, not long after breaking up with Mod Sun.
The 38-year-old singer was spotted getting cozy with the 33-year-old at Paris Fashion Week. Equally known for his musings with the Kardashian-Jenners. Naturally, photos from the event quickly went viral.

Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun split
Before Tyga, the Canadian pop-punk singer was in a relationship with fellow musician Mod Sun, real name Derek Smith, with whom she first collaborated on the 2021 song ‘Flames’.

Later that year the two confirmed that they were in a relationship, and were often seen on red carpets and spent free time together.

All of that came to an end in February when they announced their split; Mod was reportedly blind and also confessed to his heartbreak at concerts after the partition.

As news of the split began circulating online, Avril flew out to Paris for Fashion Week, watching front row at some of the most high profile runway shows of the year.

However, at the Mugler x Hunter Schaefer party on March 6, near the end of the event, the singer was seen cozying up to ‘Rack City’ rapper (real name Michael Ray Stevenson), who she has a 10-year-old son with. He has also dated Blac Chyna and Kylie Jenner.

The musicians kept their relationship low-key, although the two have occasionally confirmed the relationship with photos on social media.

Tyga took to Instagram shortly after the news broke of their alleged romance to Paris, which also included a pair with Avril, both twinning in black.

Tyga was also spotted leaving a jewelry store earlier this year, reportedly gifting the “Bite Me” singer an $80,000 Mwani & Co. diamond necklace.
However, all may not be well in paradise. New reports claim that the two have broken up but still remain friends, although there is no confirmation from either party. However, it’s safe to say that at least they’ll always have Paris!
