Superstar guard James Harden has a big decision to make this summer that will almost certainly affect his legacy as one of the best scorers this league has ever seen.
Throughout the season, there has been speculation that once Harden becomes a free agent in July, he will sign with the Houston Rockets and return to the team where he has had the most success in the NBA.
However, Harden will be leaving an ideal position with the Philadelphia 76ers, a team that is a perennial title contender with superstar center Joel Embiid.
As Philly Sports Network’s Sean Barnard points out, Harden’s legacy will take a hit if he leaves Philadelphia for Houston, as it will become clear that he favors money over winning.
When James Harden forced his move out of Houston the first time around, he cited his desire to win as the reason. Harden gave the same reason when he signed a 1+1 deal with the Sixers.
If Harden chooses to return to Houston for the rest of his career, he can. But it’s also a big hit for them…

With just a few more weeks left before NBA free agency begins, that situation could change, with Harden trying to win a title alongside NBA MVP in an effort to finally stay with the 76ers.
While Philadelphia has its fair share of issues that need to be fixed over the summer to be a true contender in the Eastern Conference, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that this team could spend all of next season with an inspired Embiid and the right Nurses. Wins with being. Guy calling the shots from the sideline.
Only time will tell what Harden ultimately decides to do, as there’s no clear indication of what will happen next month, but if he does go back to Houston, the superstar will certainly be open to his criticism moving forward. Will listen
