San Francisco 49ers fans are still feeling heartbroken after their team lost the NFC Championship Game to the Philadelphia Eagles a few months back.
From the outset, it was clear it was not going to be the 49ers’ day, as starting quarterback Brock Purdy went down early in the contest with a torn UCL in his throwing elbow.
But he is expected to be back at the start of the 2023 season, and in Week 13, San Francisco will get a rematch with the Eagles in Philly.

This would give the 49ers an opportunity to gain some measure of revenge, as well as send a message to the Eagles and the rest of the NFL with nearly a month before the end of the regular season.
Although some are still picking Philly to win the NFC again, they look vulnerable, at least on paper.
They have lost two big pieces this off-season in Pro Bowl running back Myles Sanders and stud defensive tackle Javon Hargrave.
Hargrave ended up signing a lucrative contract with the 49ers, which would add some extra intrigue to that Week 13 matchup.
On the other hand, with the No. 9 pick in last month’s draft, the Eagles acquired defensive tackle Jalen Carter, a player many believe has immense potential.
Nonetheless, it looks like the Niners have the best chance to win a Super Bowl, something they haven’t done since 1994.
If they only figure out their QB position, an NFC Championship Game rematch with the Eagles could be in the cards for the 2023 campaign.
